Weekend Wear (Independence Day)

I wanted to go all out America for ya in this week’s ‘Weekend Wear’ in honor of the upcoming 4th of July celebration. We got your classics – chucks, aviators, American flag shorts (!!!), western wear necklaces, and a cropped top (more Native American, but still). Also, some fun rings to top it all off. I hope you have a lovely weekend filled with fun, friends, and fireworks!

Clockwise: Crop Top HERE, Sunnies HERE, Chucks HERE, Tribal Coral Ring HERE, Spiked Double Ring SIMILAR HERE, American Flag Shorts HERE, Arrow Ring SIMILAR HERE, Gold Feather Bracelet HERE, Braided Bracelets HERE, Necklace HERE

I’ll be celebrating this weekend in one of the greatest cities in America, Austin, TX. So, naturally this outfit was also kind of inspiring by the vibes I get every time I visit there… laid back and fun with a little bit of that hipster twist! Keep Austin weird, y’all!

When are you celebrating the 4th? This weekend or next or BOTH!!?

Mint T & Tie Dye

Top- H&M (in stores now), Shorts- Zara (similar HERE), Sandals- Colin Stuart for Victoria’s Secret (on MAJOR sale HERE), Bag- Rebecca Minkoff, Necklace- Dogeared (HERE), Watch- Michael Kors, Sunnies- Chanel, Nails- Essie ‘tart deco’

Here it is. My mint green basic tee from H&M. You saw it in peach and lavender in my post yesterday HERE. This t-shirt is perfection… Perfect fit, perfect fabric, perfect price (only $10.95!). It’s been really hard for me to find one that works with my short torso. So, when I did I bought 3 :) I wore this to brunch the other day. I love brunch. And these sandals, the ties that wrap around my ankles are so fun! Also, these shorts are super comfy and can be dressed up or down (my fave). It’s almost the weekend again. Happy Thursday!

New Goodies- Summer Travels

Large Duffel- Vera Bradley (on sale HERE), Chain Necklace- alimonada (also seen in this post HERE), Floral Shorts- Zara (similar HERE), Basic Tees- H&M (in stores now), Polish- Essie ‘tart deco’

Hi there! My Summer is consisting of lots of traveling… So I’ve been trying to pack light and bring along fun pieces that truly scream out, “SUMMER TIME!!” In this installment of “New Goodies” I think I show just that – floral printed shorts, pastel tees and a gold chain that go with anything, and the perfect sized duffel for either just the weekend or a week long get away. And, then more nail polish (sorry, I’m still obsessed)… Here’s the dets:

I finally found a pair of floral shorts that I love. These are the perfect Summer essential! And, then there’s the gold chain necklace I had been looking for for months. It has little string wrapped around the metal loops which is really on trend right now. Get it HERE.

I’m not going to do the whole “Similar Here” thing for these tees. They fit too well for me to do you the injustice of recommending something online that I’ve never tried on before. The basic tee is #1 on my list when traveling. They are so versatile, which is imperative when you are restricted to a suitcase. I purchased this tee in 3 different colors. You see lavender and peach here. But, stay tuned, because you will be seeing the other color in my outfit post for tomorrow. Teaser: the color is the hottest of this past Spring and of the Summer… Guessed it yet?!

Happy Wednesday everyone :)

A Night Out- Floral Ombre

Top & Necklace- H&M [Both in stores now], Shorts & Wedges- White House Black Market [Similar wedges ON SALE HERE], Clutch- Tory Burch, Watch- Michael Kors, Fingers- Essie ‘tart deco’, Toes- Essie ‘olé caliente’, Lips- MAC ‘Pink Nouveau’

I wore this outfit out on the town with some great friends and my brother Saturday night. I met up with two of my best friends from college, Allie and Molly, that you will see in the last photo of this post. This ombre-ish floral blouse from H&M I’ve seen before from other bloggers in the blazer and cropped trouser versions. But, I hadn’t yet seen it in this form until I went to the store for some shopping on Friday. I really love it and despite the cheap price, the fabric looks really expensive and the print is so amazing! Also, I got these wedges from my mom. She bought them for herself, but the size ended up being to big. Lucky for me, because now they’re mine :) Thank you Mom!

Sunday Funday (The Perfect Dress)

Festivals, here I come!

I have been eying this dress for several weeks now. First, I saw her on Pinterest… which led me HERE at Mickey’s Girl. When I got there I was sadly informed that the dress was ‘Currently Out of Stock’ :( So, I took that word (currently) to heart and checked back every couple days, until finally, Friday she was back! But, to my complete devastation she wasn’t available in my size… so, I dub us not meant to be. I continued browsing some of my favorite sites and, I kid you not, about 10 minutes later I stumbled upon her again! IN MY SIZE!! So, I retracted the statement that we weren’t meant to be (rejection can make people say silly things they don’t really mean) and immediately pulled out the plastic and hit ‘ADD TO CART’ :) This lovely should be hitting my doorstep any day now. What a long story for such a simple, perfect piece of cloth. Oh yeah, after all that babbling I almost forgot, get her HERE in mint, black, taupe, or orange at Mikkat Market (while supplies last). Happy Sunday!

Navy & Stripes

Sheer Top & Maxi Dress- Urban Outfitters [Top HERE] & [Similar Dress HERE] , Wedges- Steve Madden [HERE], Hat- Free People [On Sale HERE], Tote- Tory Burch [Another fun TB tote HERE], Fingers- ‘ole calienté’, Toes- OPI ‘Mod-ern Girl’

OK, so I know there is a lot of navy going on in this outfit. But, I just really love navy… In my eyes it’s pretty much more of a neutral than white or beige. I have a lot of it in my wardrobe and I couldn’t have thought up a better outfit to wear my perfectly fitting Free People hat with than this. Don’t you think?! This outfit is perfect for a day at the beach, but since there’s no beach near Dallas, I’ll just have to settle for the pool… which is fine by me :) Give me some sun and water and I’m a happy girl!

Another fun outfit I wore my hat with HERE.

P.S. A new app called ‘Tory Daily’ just launched a couple of days ago. It’s basically like a blog with lots of tips about fashion, music, arts, travel, etc. from Tory Burch and her team. It’s really cool and FREE! Check it out… You can also shop on Tory’s site with the app, and if you do your shipping is FREE as well. Score!

Lots of sheer tops, comfy floral bottoms, great simple cotton tanks, and an awesome assortment of bohemian + edgy accessories. The best thing – I haven’t seen anything over $75.00 – but most of the pieces are under $40.00! These are the kinds of things that make me happy, haha :) Here are some of my favs:
