Here it is, after Hurricane Isaac almost ruined my plans, I woke up yesterday morning to sunshine and NO rain, and pretty much fell out of the bed I got so excited. The weather turned around and I am ready to go! I packed up my car last night and I’m on my way to Austin today, to LIVE :)
The photo above is of a beautiful necklace (you can get it in ANY state shape here) that I just had to get once I decided to move out of Louisiana. I’ve lived here for 6 years. Went to college, made some amazing friends and wonderful memories, graduated college, moved to a new city, got my first REAL job (awful), got my second real job (which is my current job)… and now it’s time to move on. I will miss Louisiana. It’s where my whole family lives and I’ve had some really great times here.
But, now I’m excited to start a new chapter with new experiences and fun adventures! Thank you to everyone that has been there for me throughout this chapter in my life. I love you all. Don’t worry, I’ll be back to visit :)

Hi! Happy Thursday. Tomorrow is the big move to Austin. I’m so excited. Although Hurricane Isaac did give me a scare, it seems like everything is going to be fine and I’ll be able to head out of Louisiana as scheduled… Anyway, here are a few things I’m currently craving to get my hands on for fall. Hope you enjoy! What’s on our wish list for September? I’d love to know :)
1. StyleMint Dress 2. Surplus Jacket
1. Leather Jacket 2. 7FAM Pants
1. Gingham Top 2. Tulip Skirt 3. Gold Coach Loafer
Striped Top, Blazer, Chambray Button Up
Polka Dot Dress, Bandage Dress, Floral Skirt
Pretty much all packed up and ready for my move Friday :) … If Hurricane Isaac permits :(
Anywho, loving the new petite selections from Anthropologie. I’ve always felt like their clothes, especially their dresses, are designed for very talk women. It’s definitely always been one of my favorite stores, so the fact that they are starting to carry petite sizes is so exciting for all the us little women! My favorites from the bunch have to be that amazing casual version of a bandage dress and the striped top with the gorgeous lace detailing at the neck. What’s your favorite??
Check out all of Anthropologie’s petite selections here. Enjoy!
Happy Sunday everyone! I spent the weekend packing, packing, more packing and putting A LOT of things in storage… I came across these Kate Spade quotes the other day and they just really made me smile. Inspiring and fun! Two of the best words if you ask me :) Hope your weekend was great!

OK, reading through my blogs the past few weeks I’ve noticed a trend… Everyone is itching for fall so they can wear fun fall clothes. It’s hard for me to do this you see, because I live in the South and it’s still pushing 100 degrees over here. I bought these from ShoeMint the other day to dip my toes in a little. But, really, really, what I’ve been craving and just can’t get myself to buy yet are blazers. These from Topshop are to DIE and are all under $100, YAY! I love blazers, I want one in every color and print, please. So, “Fall”, you should come soon so I don’t feel so silly buying one or die of a heat stroke wearing one :) Mmk, thanks. Happy Friday all!
I’ve been trying to do the top knot i.e. ‘The Carrie Bradshaw Bun’ for months, but have had a hard time figuring it out on my own. Luckily, a couple of days ago while browsing the blogosphere I came across this great tutorial from Beth of B. Jones Style HERE. This is the ‘casual’ version of the bun as you see on me here. I tend to like this style much better than the sleeker version. It works better for my everyday lifestyle. So, what better way to showcase it then with an outfit that is really true to what I wear day-to-day? A cute tee, flowy skirt, and comfy sandals. Enjoy! It’s almost the weekend :)

Hi! First outfit post in a LONG while. Wore this when I was at the beach out one night with some friends. I have been wearing these white shorts from Madewell with EVERYTHING. Seriously, they have stains on them that won’t come out I’ve worn them so much (not because I’m a clumsy mess, haha). I got them a size larger than I normally would so they fit a little more relaxed, but still really well. Best purchase in a really long time. Another really good purchase? The heels! They were $20.00 on sale at Frock Candy. Yes, $20.00. Surprisingly, they are really comfortable as far as heels go. I danced in them for 4 hours and I swear they didn’t hurt at all. AH-mazing. It’s the little things that make this girl happy :)

Hi! I know, I know. I’ve been M.I.A. for a month now. It’s been a busy time this summer for me. I’ve been home for MAYBE a total of 7 days since the beginning of June. It’s cray! I’m preparing for my move to Austin for the next 2 weeks and then I will be starting a whole new chapter, and HOPEFULLY will feel a little more settled once I get there. I’ve just been living life and having so much fun… like when I decided to be a beach bum for 2 weeks last month in Destin, FL. Yes, I stayed at the beach for 2 weeks. A little excessive, I know, but it was a blast. Here are a few snaps I took while on my extended vaca. Enjoy and happy Monday everyone :)
Mom in all black… She’s so chic.
I love wearing rompers at the beach… they are just as easy as maxi dresses, but a little bit more fun!
My Essie ‘to buy or not to buy’ polish was almost the same color as that gorgeous Destin sand :)
A flying kite in a pink sky… Serenity.
I have to say it did rain a lot in my 2 week stay, but the days like this one made up for all that nonsense.
Isn’t this one of the best feelings in the world??
My lovely cousin and her NEW fiancé. They got engaged while we were there. Congrats!
Me and my cousin’s crackin’ up at something! Love y’all.
Ping Pong beach style :)
